Holy shit, man, what a football day.

Few thoughts, even though no one cares:

    1. I laughed so hard I cried when Atlanta lost. It was a beautiful thing - I tapped into the suffering of Falcon fans, and I could, for a moment, feel their loss, and my heart filled up full of love for their pain. It was...orgasmic. I hope their children are still crying.

    2. I think Gonzalez wears lip gloss.

    3. Matt Ryan looks like a taller, skinnier Jeff Garcia, and I think he deep dicks his center.

    4. Matty Ice threw a fucking lame duck ten yards at the end with six seconds left when they needed a hail mary. That shit's not Ice Cold. Or clutch.

    5. Looks like the 49ers fan won against the Falcons fan too. All around good day for the Niners.

    6. Ray Lewis wasn't all that great on the field today.

    7. It would be foolish to underestimate his leadership, and his spiritual presence on the field, and his sheer will to win, and his willing his teammates to rise above what they can normally do. He gets the headlines, and he should. THey will be a lesser defense with a better player in his position. And that's truth.

    8. Tom Brady played a bad game today. He was just off, all day, whether by a yard, by an inch, or by a mental fuck up like at the end of the half.

    9. The Patriots are amazing. They were the lesser team today, and maybe they're not that good, and they don't know their empire is crumbling, but they are too stupid to start acting like it. They keep winning, keep getting so close, keep fighting, and fighting, and fighting. What a hell of an organization.

    10. I hope each and every Falcon player is weeping right now.

    11. It still scares me, because the Falcons are built to last, have an amazing nucleus on offense, and a young one. They're gonna be pissing in milk for a long time to come.

Today was a good football day.

    EDIT TO ADD -

    12. What's depressing - the Panthers just hired Mike Shula as offensive coordinator, and their future looks stale, and it appears we're going into next year as a waste year, to make it easier on our owner's wallet.

This is why we aren't making the playoffs, because this organization makes terrible decisions over and over and over, and we don't learn our lessons. We're a shit franchise. And for the past umpteen years, we actually rate the worst in the league. Worse than the Cleveland Browns. We are the worst.

I knew you'd have a gay sex reference for us.

What I love about the 49ers is that they're shutting the fuck up everyone who thinks a running game and defense isn't important anymore.

Same shit different year. New material. Find it.

    ------

In other news, Jim Caldwell is terrible. And I think Harbaugh isn't going to want to point him in the right direction all season next year. Don't see how this guy gets work. He's very lucky to have his players bail him out in spite of his bullshit.

I get a chuckle over how much shit I took from people (not so much here but in some other places) for saying that Atlanta made a good trade in acquiring Julio Jones. That guy is a beast.

I knew the Harbaughs would be the story, but I'm dsappointed that Matt Ryan isn't catching more shit for vomiting all over himself. The guy called Matty Ice is now 1-4 in the playoffs, and just choked his ass off in the NFC Championship.
    Fuck Steve Martin.

It was an awful lot to give up for an offensive guy that touches the ball less than 10 % of the snaps. They have Matty to payplus a couple on the O-line and both White and Jones before 2015. $4 millionish in cap space won't do it.

The actual picks, hard to judge because it's not likely that Atlanta would have used them that way. Huge risk by Atlanta but at this point is does look like they were justified.

This just reminds me, I am so happy Hurney is gone.

I dont think there was ever much doubt that Julio had the talent.

But Atlanta did give up a bunch in the trade pick wise, I think that was the concern. I makes them look better that Cleve was the team making the picks.

Almost paid off bigtime for them yesterday, almost.

Rumors of a massive contract coming for Matty not so Icy.

It'll be interesting to see how things go without Gonzo. I am so happy he is retiring.
