Why are concerts so expensive now? Los Lonely Boys are playing in town tonight and it's $35 per ticket. :wtf23: I can buy all their cds and have some cash left over for that. Actually $35 is pretty cheap these days. You get a big act and you're talking $100 or better. I want to go back to a time when movies were $4, gas was $1 a gallon, and a good concert was $20 tops.

And they are MORE here in then in CA. I couldnt believe it.
WE had awesome groups at our county fairs. Then to drive to Sacramento would pay like 35 bucks for a good concert.
I did just pay 35 bucks for Trans Siberian Orchestra though, which I was happy about.

The most I ever payed was 85 for U2/Rage and 75 for the Summer Sanitarium Tou with Metallica, Korn, Kid, and System of a Down.

The best bang for my buck had to be 18 bucks for System of a Down, Incubus, Mr. Bungle, and Puya.

For something like $25, I saw Primus, Alice in Chains, Dinosaur Jr., Fishbone, Front 242, Tool, and Rage Against the Machine at the 1993 Lollapalooza. That was a good deal.

The Drive-by Truckers are playing at Tremont in a couple of weeks for 18 bucks per ticket. I'm seriously considering not going and seeing one of my favorite bands.

I was at an Elton John concert in Greensboro around that time. Was that the concert where someone threw something out of the audience and popped him in the head? At 14, I thought that was pretty cool.
