I think that when a program gets put on probation (like Alabama) that it should affect the whole school not just one sport. The whole sports department should be punished. It just doesnt make sense to me to just punish one sport. If the administration turned the other cheek on one sport then there is a good possibility that it may be occuring in other sports. Its almost like only penalizing the accounting department of a company that commits tax fraud.

What do yall think?

I don't believe so. If it's a multisport violation then there should be a wider-ranging impact but I don't know that it's fair that another sport should have to deal with an infraction it didn't commit. That works fine for the army but I don't think it works for sports.

mags while I still think its hilarious that sly posted this AFTER his dukeys were added to the same bracket as Bama' I do think he is right... generally the Athletic Department is responsible for all recruiting whether its football, basketball, or whatever... yes the recruiters from each sport go out and do the work... but UNDER the guidance of the AD... basically I'm saying the big guy incharge should be held responsible... and because of that all the programs punished... what BETTER way to teach a school to behave??? You'd see far less NCAA infractions that way...

How many cases have you heard about where the ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT is aware of Violations? 99.9% of violations involve 1 or maybe 2 bad seeds.

By the way, Alabama is good enough to win it all. Just not consistent enough to put together a 5 game run against very good competion. If they were to beat Duke they would lay an egg the next game.

No I just couldn't think of another team on probation right now. The SEC is overrated. Actually the only reason I even mentioned Alabama is because I knew it would piss Bear off.
