Anyone know how to the key sequences to highlight text from a command promt (dos prompt) in Windows 2000. I know you can highlight text with the mouse or click the menu but I need to know a key sequence to do the same.

i think you press F2 and then choose up to which char starting point you would like to copy from. then, press F5 to paste. if you copy more than 1 text, then you press F7 and can choose which you want to paste- this is all in the cmd prompt though.. i think this is right, i had to write a java program and remember the pain involved...

Try holding the shift button and moving the cursor with the arrow buttons.
