But just how likely is that? Suh was dominant last year but he IS superior to any 2011 DL and to compare anyone from this years crop to Suh would be foolish. Fairley's dominance has been due in large part to his dirty play and an intimidation factor. .. he won't be intimidating anyone on Sundays and he will get his ass fined off to boot. Dareus would be the safer more logical pick but he isn't likely to be a pro bowl caliber player.

No Luck = well, no luck for the panthers

    sucks for us don't it

    Winning attitude, there.

Yea, we didn't get our retard-strength golden boy from Stanford. Would've been nice, but that's like a month or more in the rear-view.

For the record, I'm on board with trading down and solidifying the secondary with one of the two top corner prospects. Rivera is going to attack, no matter who is in the front 7-8. Gamble can actually hold his own in man. Marshall concerns me, so I would not overlook CB as a priority.

yeah, i'm not winning like Charlie Sheen. You're not winning either if you live on a panthers message board there johnny
I'm confident Rivera and company will address both DT and CB, and with some '11 depth at both positions it's likely we'll get help there . .. just no #1 overall level of help

Why? Jonathan has never missed a game and it's likely that is because of the surgeries. This guy is regarded as the one of the best foot doctors in the country and many professional athletes seek him out for treatment and surgery.

Just because a player doesn't respond well after surgery doesn't mean the doctor did a shitty job.

Good take. Appreciate the enthusiasm. I'll continue to follow the prospects independently, and put stock in the analysis of the 1% of the population who actually understands this stuff, and have demonstrated a track-record of performance.

Was pretty clear that this is a flat draft, in terms of high-end talent. Agree that Luck would have been nice. But, well, it's not happening.

Is the doc a friend of yours or something?

The doc could have done a fine job and the player still may not heal properly, I guess my issue is it's likely he gave some assurances that he would. That the team knew the doc and (it was implied that he) got information regarding Stewart that made them feel comfortable drafting him so high was cited in the press post draft.

Doesn't seem like he's been 100% to me, they've babied him since he got here as far as camp and in season practice.

Do I recall that some other injury or physical problem was reportedly due to him still favoring the foot? Maybe in '09.

    Just red flags for me.

I think Brian Billick needs to add some levity to this thread.
