    I know it's stating the obvious. I'm glad they shook up the receivers, cutting Gardner and activating Carter.

    Colbert - 23 catches this year. Gotta be the lowest of a starter, who has started all games.

    Foster = 32 catches
    Proehl = 20 catches
    Mangum = 20 catches
    Goings = 11 catches
    Gaines = 11 catches

    Hankton might have more than 23 catches. :twocents:

    Hell I'm glad we inactivated Davis. I think Goings and Foster are gonna be much more productive than Davis and Foster. Goings can run and also catch and RAC.

    A benching might get his head out of his ass. Carter at least fights.

    I didn't think he looked all that great last season, but it's about impossible to believe that this guy is USC's all-time leading receiver.

    Using Goings more might give us a guy who can run inside effectively without the addition of the draw. Hell, with Cramer active, I want to see Hoover some. Fuck it. Dallas will be decent v/s the run.

    Wasn't Colbert simply there the longest of that group? Williams was in two years, right? Kelly Campbell, 3?

    Yeah but they've had some pretty decent receivers over the years - Keyshawn, Lynn Swann, Johnnie Morton, and Curtis Conway come to mind...

    Key came out early, too.
    Guess my point is that I'd expect any number of guys to have had better college numbers if they'd stayed.

    Colbert should be allright in time. I just think it's rough that along the way, he's been as disappointing this year as anyone on O. You want a guy like that to keep getting better, not worse.

    :thinking: Campbell went to Georgia Tech. But yeah, like Morgan said, you'd expect one of their many future NFL stars to have reached a higher number, but then again the college game is more pass-happy than it used to be.

    I coulda sworn there was another receiver there with Williams and Colbert who left early. A stat search suggests I'm simply out of my mind.
    Kareem Kelly? But he was a year ahead, and wasn't putting up the big numbers. Fuck if I know where I was going with that. Either way, Colbert's one of the few talented receivers out there to not come out early, which was the overall idea.

    They sure weren't against the Skins today. Gave up 171 yards rushing and 4 TD's passing.
