Fuck it. I know Fox won't because he's stubborn as hell, but how could Jarrett be any worse? Put the rook out there and let him learn on the job.

Jake did under throw Colbert badly on that one where he had the corner beat by ten yards but I am not confident that it would have been caught if it had been on the money.

How many times will we give Colbert a chance to show something based on one nice catch in a preseason game? Put Jarrett in now.

because the three morons for houston did not wrap their arms around smith, without that play it was a real mediocre day for Jake

Thinking back on the int; don't know if you could see it on TV but Carter was wide open about 10 yards deeper than Smith. I'm not sure if the DB was dropping back to Carter and then jumped Smith's route when he saw the throw and that made Carter look more open, I can't rememeber...

Just thinking out loud here but wonder if the ball went to Smith because Jake doesn't trust Carter/Colbert to make the catch? He knows Smitty will fight like hell for it so he goes to him. If thats the case, we need to see Jarrett sooner rather than later.

Smith didn't look like he believed the ball was coming to him, and Jake certainly shouldn't have thrown it there since the corner was clearly standing in the way. I have no idea about the rest, but it's curious that Steve would be so nonchalant. I almost thought he believed it was a running play and maybe Jake checked out of it.

I disagree on a mediocre day--Smith's last TD padded hsi numbers, sure, but there were plenty of drops to go around, plus HOU batted down 2-4 passes (I lost count). Jake was not the lone reason for the loss.

Yeah, he played alright other than the pick to Robinson and the throw to Colbert. Probably should of had another TD to Carter.

It was the pansy ass group of 11 that we have on the field when the other team has the ball that was the problem. If the only time you can get your ass of the field is after the other team puts up points, its gonna be a long day. Not to mention, thats gonna throw your O out of the game plan becuase they're gonna be playing from behind.
