It actually was the best place to put it in my car…I didn’t want to be looking down to turn station…from the vent position, I can keep any eye on the road…plus there won’t be any perm damage to the dash. I thought about not mounting it and just keeping it in the console. I take it with me except for when it is in the garage….only an idiot would steal the mounting bracket.

Another thing I don’t like is that you can’t adjust treble/bass on the unit itself…yeah, you can use the car or home stereo…but if you are in portable mode/listening to mp3’s, you can’t adjust the sound.

I'm going to give those ear buds a try...

If your car has an auxilary input jack, use that instead of the fm transmitter for better sound quality.

If not, get a wired fm modulator (~$15 at Circuit City). It will connect the Sirius radio to the antenna input on the back of your car stereo. Your FM radio will still work fine, but when you turn on the Sirius radio it will turn off your external antenna and pipe the Sirius signal directly into the radio... no static.

Harry, I use 89.1 in my work vehicle and have no problems. I don't know how the S50's modulator is, but it works well for the Starmate Replay. How are you enjoying satellite radio?

I like it. There isnt a single station that's become my favorite yet. Left of Center is a little too quirky for me, but every 5th song or so is a favorite. I also listen to Alt Nation, the 80's alt station (22), BBC One, and some of the underground and deep album tracks stations when the mood hits me.

Kinda surprised that i dont listen to talk radio or the comedy stations more.

I only listen to BBC1 on Monday nights when they do the live stuff. Too much of that dance, clubby shit on there the rest of the time.

Monster makes an adjustable one that I just got with my ipod that hooks into the headphone jack. It's pricey, but I've never been disapponited in their stuff.
