Joe Flacco isn't a "field general". He just wins.

Moore, until this year, was a winner. And all the reporters (Gantt, Sorensen, Reed) were raving about his command of the offense and the fact that it looked as though the team was behind him 100% in camp.

When you lose, it's adverse, but Moore undoubtedly still gives this current team chances to win games. Clausen needs to clean up fundamental issues before we can even discuss him being a factor.

Yeah I agree. As ready as I was to see Clausen, I'm more ready to see Moore (brutal english there.)

At least with Moore we were getting first downs and moving the ball. Now we aren't even guaranteed a snap or a handoff.

edit: Moore is quite a bit taller in the pocket too, might help with all those batted balls. After two weeks it seemed like QB could be the main issue. After five weeks it's clear that QB was not our only problem.

Moore might not be our long-term answer, but Delhomme was undrafted. So was Romo.

Not saying either one of those guys are tremendous, but both have churned out some clutch wins.

I just see a lot of potential with Moore, and would hate to piss that away too quickly.

What exactly are you basing that on? Extensive time in the huddle? Personal friend of an OL? What?

Until Clausen makes plays each quarter of a game, he's always going to be the awkward kid in the huddle.

Moore, at the very least, had thrown touchdowns and shown an ability to make plays. He's the closest thing we have right now to Jake (2003-2005). Clausen is 2, maybe 3 years away from being prepared, if that.

I was hoping for a Matt Ryan/Joe Flacco type situation with this guy, but he had no command whatsoever, in the huddle, under center and after the snap (you know, the 80% or so he actually is able to field).

I disagree. Just because Clausen hasn't turned the team around doesn't mean he isn't playing well. I think he's playing exactly as a rookie QB would. He doesn't have Steve Smith and Muhammed out there. The offensive line play is marginal. Do Williams and Stewart look as dominant as they've been?

The major problem we're having right now isn't QB, be it Moore or Clausen. We're just not playing well as a team. I've been all for Moore being the QB and letting Clausen adjust on the sidelines, but honestly right now, I don't know that it makes a big difference who starts.
