I think that's a sentiment that a lotta people feel, the coach being one of them. I understand it, and to a degree, feel the same way. But only to a degree.

I'm looking at Shasta, and it sparkles, and smells pretty good. Good fizz, doesn't look watered down. Fresh out the can. I wanna drink that shit, and see what it's got, man.

Even really really shitty QBs have a flash of greatness once in a while.

And I don't count one or two completions a qtr, flashes of greatness, just sayin'.

Lol, I think anyone who watches the games can realize it's not just a few completions. He hits motherfuckers in stride a LOT. THey just aren't catching them. There are some BEAUTIFUL throws made. He hits the windows. He'll get it low, where the corner can't get it, but the receiver can. He has shown at times, remarkable accuracy. Its not all his fault, really.

He DOES fumble too much and that has to be taken care of, or fuck him...

I disagree. Last two starts I've seen Clausen (Shasta) making some weak ass throws. It could be linked to his foot injury. But who knows? His accuracy definitely is not what it was in preseason.

You don't complete 47% of your passes just because the receivers suck. It's not all his fault, but being a starting QB isn't an internship.

that warms my heart coming from a guy who's a bigger fan of a player who's had like 6 plays from scrimmage than the team he plays on.

we do that with the TE, and the backs. Our 3rd down is that pairing - I think Rosario and Goodson lead us on 3rd down.
But yeah, you have to just be better. Looking at our D, our rush O, I always felt like the thing Jake couldn't do was be efficient. Just make the 3rd down throws, some on 1st or 2nd, no big holes to work out of. Surely Moore would change that, but so far, no. Clausen certainly hasn't either.
If anyone has a good explanation for our offensive problems, let me know. Not blame, almost all the pieces are the same otherthan young WR, but legitimate explanation. I can't figure it out, it's like they just have no confidence.

    I have an explanation:

Moore took the majority of the reps in preseason. Smith decided to break his arm again before camp, causing Moore to gain absolutely no edge on continuity and timing with his #1 receiver. Neither QB is great, but Moore has performed well enough before against good teams to show me he can do it again.

The biggest problem is timing, continuity and rhythm. And the fact that we benched Moore about 3 weeks too soon.
