Last night on espn McShay kept mentioning his as a possible OLB in a 3-4. WTF...first I've heard of that. Almost to the point that that would be his likely position.

He could probably do that or play DE in a 4-3. I wish we had a shot at him.

He also mentioned him as a MLB and DT. Assuming that's correct (other than the MLB) I see why he's being touted for the 3-4. He could do all those things here and there.

I don't see, at 275, that he's a better fit at OLB. I just think people get so damned worried about the 3-4 and who fits where, when most teams still just don't use it. He can play the run, he can rush, he's over 260, I don't see why that's a "we have to find some special place for him" as if teams aren't looking for a bluechip 4-3 end.

    Is Miami going to 3-4?

I dunno. I saw Adalius Thomas as an end, figured he could be a 3-4 OLB if he needed, and he ended up an ILB.
Carriker ended up a 3-4 nosetackle.

I can't remember if Miami is going 3-4 but it makes sense.

On UVA's site they said he worked out at OLB for the pro day at Virginia. He worked at DE only at the combine and they wanted to show his versatility at UVA. He's doing that to show if you play a 3-4 he could play OLB and in a 4-3he would play DE.

He would look good lined up on the other end of the DL from Peppers.
