For several years San Diego has had questionable talent at receiver and he didn't stand out there. He had one good season in Miami and has been an underacheiver since.

Buried? He was the number 2 receiver before last week had 8 catches on 30 targets. Jarrett has better hands, that's kind of important for a receiver.

    Pretty much.

San Diego has Jackson, Gates, Tomlinson and Sproles who get looks before Chambers. How can you Jarret has better hands. How many career catches does Jarrett have? Can you count them if you use both hands?

How many of the 22 that he did not catch were drops and how many were poorly thrown balls?

So San Diego is intentionally ignoring him? I suppose that explains why Malcolm Floyd is out producing him while playing the same position.

Because Jarrett has better hands, He's caught a greater % of the balls thrown to him this year, and we all know he has good hands going back to college, that how I can that.

Jarrett is buried behind a bunch of other guys Carolina has Smith, Rosario, Williams and Stewart who get looks before Jarrett.

STATS says 4 were dropped, I can't speak to how many were bad passes, though given Chambers reputation for drops this decline doesn't bode well. He isn't likely to get better at getting separation at his age and he's taking a steep dive in QB quality should he come to Carolina which also doesn't help

He's been claimed on waivers by the Chiefs, BTW.

Chambers is only a year older than Smitty.....

Jarrett had good hands in college. That does not mean he has good hands in the pros. He was able to get open and be productive in college but not so in the pros. If he were not such a high draft pick I think he would have been cut a long time ago.

The ability to 'get open' and having good hands are different things.

Count me in with the "Jarrett has good hands" crowd, and the "he can make the tough over the middle catches, and hold on" crowd too if there is one. Getting Moose back diminished his opportunity here, IMO. May have helped him in the long run though.

Jarrett seems to catch anything thrown to him so I don't think it's his hands that are in question. Seperation yes, routes maybe, attitude yes but he shows good hands.

Chambers was to be the man in Miami and they traded him to san d where he was supposed to be the man and did even less there.
