This is quite possibly the dumbest shit you have ever posted, which is saying a lot. Back when the Eagles won ten games in each of his first two seasons, you didn't hear anything about how Chip Kelly wasn't a pro coach or couldn't handle his players or was racist or whatever. I'm not saying that all the complaints were unfounded but I am saying that people turn on each other when things turn south.

Nothing you're saying makes any sense whatsoever. Only once at Oregon did Chip Kelly have a recruiting class in the top ten, topping out at 9th in 2011. The idea that he is a product of recruiting is fundamentally stupid, as the original point behind Kelly's offense was to succeed with players the elites didn't want. The idea that he is a flake who moves around from job to job and "never coaches anybody for more than 1 to 3 years" is also spectacularly fucking retarded. He coached at New Hampshire for thirteen consecutive years, then spent six at Oregon, and three in Philadelphia. He did not choose to leave Philadelphia that quickly.

It's true that Chip Kelly never should have been given personnel control with the Eagles, as that pretty much never works. Coaching and picking players require different sets of skills, while there isn't enough time in the day to do each without damaging your performance at one or both. Even Belichick has been pretty bad in the draft and free agency. But questioning Chip Kelly's ability as a head coach after he won twenty-six of his first forty-seven games in the NFL is idiotic.

I do question whether or not he's just a more advanced version of Norv. X's and O's are only a portion of a head coach's job. However I do believe he's an unquestionably brilliant offensive coach. In hindsight it's amazing what he got out of Foles.

Norv Turner won at least ten games three times in fifteen years as a head coach. Chip Kelly did it twice in his first three. And the Eagles went 4-12 & 8-8 the last two Reid years, so it's not like he stepped into a great situation.

That's why I said a "more advanced" Norv. His first two years were solid, but you can't under-sell the atrocious third which he had full control over.

If the record is the barometer of a head coach, then he was three games better than Joe Philbin's first 47 games. So maybe he's just a more advanced Joe Philbin.

Collin, the fact you misinterpreted what I said here shows you didn't get what I was saying.

NO Fucking COLLEGE COACH coaches any single student for more than 3 to 4 years, especially the most talented ones.

They fucking graduate or move on. You know, that's how colleges work. You're telling me I'm retarded and you didn't get that? Wow.

I said nothing about him being any kind of flake or moving around. It's about constant turnover in both players and a lot of times, personnel. Both on his teams and the college teams he regularly played and beat the hell out of.

His talent on offense in college was always vastly superior to the defenses he played for the most part. That's why his teams scored so fucking much.

And you made my point. He was good for a coupla years and then he failed. He'll do it again too. NFL teams handle his kind of offense after a period of time and his defenses have always given up a lot of points to talented teams.

And I wasn't questioning his ability at being a HC. I was questioning his ability at personnel in the NFL and managing both talent and personnel thereof, especially over a period of time. Which was my entire point.

Your whole tirade at my post was way off base dude.

He made a living beating a shitty group of 8-9 teams in the whole Pac-12 while he was there (with only them and two others being consistently good - O, Stanford and USC - the rest mostly garbage). While his team consistently scored the most points, they also allowed a lot of points, relatively. It was hard for less talented teams to keep up. Maybe the NFC East was more like a college talent this year, the rest of the NFL is not. He was a big fish in a little pond who absolutely was a good College HC.

For example, how many QBs did he have with the eagles over three seasons? Kinda like a college program, huh?

How'd that work out in the long run?

Not unlike nick Saban. And he, himself, has admitted as much.

Realistically I think he wants to reset his value for a massive college deal. There's no way he believes he can win big in San Francisco unless he's snorting meth every ten seconds.

I think he's intrigued to work to Kap and realizes he can made chicken salad out of that situation, but they're staring straight up at the rest of that division. I expect him to make them competitive and then go to the highest bidder.
