I hope we play it very close to the vest on offense. They are not going to be able to score on our defense unless we give them great field position due to turn overs or special teams plays. I say go with the three yards and a cloud of dust offense and mix in a few safe passes to Smitty in hopes that he breaks one. I definately do not want to see Jake standing in the pocket trying to find Colbert open somewhere. That ends in either a pick or a sack and fumble against the Bears. I would rather just play it safe and hope we can win the game with our defense rather than losing it with our offense. They have a very inexperienced QB. We have a good chance to pick him off a couple of times if he is throwing the ball. If we let them get a lead though he will not throw much if any.

Wide open and balls to the wall . . . Go straight at them, bury 'em early and stand on their throats. I'd rather see us lose playing to win than lose playing NOT to lose. Conservative play anytime other than the last couple of minutes with a huge lead isn't the way to play anything. Play to win and let the chips fall wherever they fall.

For what it's worth, I beliefe Mel Kippner (sp?) on "Mike and Mike" this morning recommends playing ULTRA conservative on offense, punting often, and waiting for Grossman to make the mistake everyone expects him to make.

That plays right into the Bears hands. They can not beat us with their offense. They only beat us if they can do it with their defense.

What if Grossman DOESN'T make a mistake? What then? I will never agree to play not to lose and HOPE somebody makes a mistake. I'd say THAT is what the Bears HOPE we do.

Play smart and play to win or don't play.

this I can agree with. "Wide open" isn't. Balance, tons of looks, high percentage stuff.
