I'm a Mac user and recently upgraded to Catalina. Big mistake!
I bought Microsoft Office back in 2013 and it still does everything I want it to do. I have no need to upgrade to the latest version, and I'll be damned if I am going to shell out $20 a month or whatever it costs to have a subscription to software that I don't use a lot. Welp, it quit working because Office 2013 is 32-bit, and catalina doesn't allow that.
Ditto for a couple games I still play, and some utility software I use to spy on people through their webcams.
Anyway, I'm fortunate because I'm a just geeky enough to run backups a lot, and I was able to restore my Mojave build without losing any work.
If you are a Mac user, be warned. Also, think this new 16 inch MacBook will actually be worth upgrading to? I'm still rocking a mid-2012 and it's working like a champ.
