Casey Moore

I watched the game for the 5th time last night. (When I tape it, I leave off the commercials and BS, so it only lasts about 1.5 hrs.)

Anyway one of the people I was curious about was Moore.
He wasn't in many plays, and what ones he was in, he didn't block all that well, really. His man didn't make the takle (the ones he blocked), but it looked like he blocked the wrong guy on a coupla run plays. He also gingerly blocked, not smack your ass on the groud-block. I have no opinion yet, haven't seen enough of him, but that what I saw of him against Washington. Maybe the cast is throwing him off.

I also watch Nelson alot. He did pretty well. His man was always blocked and never made a solo tackle, nor put pressure on the QB. For a rookie center in that game, I was sort of impressed.

I did notice however that both of the major pressures from Washington on Peete was MANGUMS man. He didn't block worth a fuk on pass plays he was supposed to protect on. Watch it, you'll see. I thought before one of them was on Gross, but nope, Gross took his man to the inside, Mangum let his man run inside of him alwmost free both times. The more I watch Mangum, the more he looks bad to me.

The more I watch Seidman, the better he looks to me.

All of this is my Opinion, but I've watched the game very open minded 5 times now. Many plays replayed and in slowed-slow motion.

Also the worst part of our D is definitely the secondary when it come to Zone coverage. It's like we don't know which guy to cover in the zones. Our safeties (even Minter) look lost when we go into zone coverage. Really, watch the game again. I think that has been a problem for some time, and why Prevent D sucks for us.

Towns bites worse than most LB I have ever seen in Play action fakes.

 

I saw Goings go to block some guys on running plays. He just bounced off. Maybe if either knocks someone aside, they will make the team.
