Future money yeah but the remaining bonus money already paid showing up on next years cap would suck. For that reason alone I'd demand a 2

    a 2nd for a RB that close to 30 is a stretch

True but the majority of his career he has split carries. He was drafted the same year as Marshawn Lynch right? I bet Lynch has 1/3 more carries

RBs age quickly, DW is 2 years older- sorry thems the breaks Also DW had about twice as many carries in college. the mileage argument doesn't hold up so well then.

I don't think we get that much for him, it's a question of do we benefit moving forward or not.

my biggest worry right now is, should that be decided for the next guy(s) right now? Might get a little more now, versus later, but it's presumptuous that a GM would want that to happen right now.

in some cases you have no choice. DW, as an example, saves you money right now, and accelerates the cap hit to the following year. There's no "I'd rather" or "you fans wouldn't understand the difference", it happens no matter what.

The next coach/GM might have to get by with just one highly paid runningback

Maybe a new GM would like to have a lot of draft picks and some cap space. Who the hell knows. I'm not expecting him to go anywhere but it's possible and I'm not sure I give a fuck anyway. As the saying goes, we can finish last without him.
