    Negative. But I have the car any time I need it for work and get the 48 cents/mile. So, I'm not wasting my own car and getting the mileage. Seems like a good deal to me.

    Lots of people here prefer to drive their own cars. I don't see it, even with the mileage money. Seems to me ultimately you lose trying to make money on the mileage when you have to buy a new car.

    that's kinda the point of my hijacking the thread.

    if i buy the right car, then it will be paid for and I'll make money off the mileage, plus i can use it for all the personal use i want.

    thus i gotta drop the pricy Jeep and get a Kia!

    funny how shit works......2 years ago I was driving a brand new LS430.....guess priorities and common sense are finally kicking in.

    Pay cash for cars, makes you avoid getting a ridiculous car you can't afford... The number of people I see living in $125k houses or renting an apartment but driving a $35k car is just insane. For Savio, that means pay off the car if that will leave you with an extra cash cushion (2 months salary in the bank).

    I pay my car payments with a credit card. That way it doesn't come out of my checking account.

    That's not as far fetched as it sounds. I've heard some credit card company lets you pay your mortgage via their card. Great way to rack up points, terrible idea for most people.

    Can afford to pay it off each month.
