    Carolina can move into the top 8 today with a win over Buffalo. They could actually pass the Rangers as well. It's going to be a fun final week of the regular season !

    Things just got a little tougher. If they do get into the playoffs, they will need to find a power play fast. They'll get eaten alive otherwise.

    They do need some snipers but if they get in they will be a tough out with Ward in goal. 3 back of Buffalo might be too much to ask but they still have a shot of knocking the Rangers out of 8th.

    Canes control their own destiny now (thanks to the Rangers getting pummelled last night). Win their last 2, and they are in the playoffs.

    Based on the fact that Atlanta played last night in New York and turn around and play again tonight, I like the chances for a win. Of course the Canes have to do the same thing and go home to play Tampa Bay Saturday night. At least they have it in their hands.

    Bummer loss to end the season. Team laid an egg with a playoff spot on the line. The east is wide open and the Canes could have made some noise....CRAP !!!

    Yeah, they gagged at the end, but they sure as hell need to lock up Skinner for the long-long term. Kid's a star.

    AGREED! Skinner has to stay with the Canes for long term!
