You do realize that the Stanley Cup is being decided in the other series?....Avs vs Red Wings....either of those two team would beat both the Canes or Leafs in 5 games...if not an outright sweep.

more reality...these good young players on the canes aren't going to be there long. The Canes are still a small market NHL team and can't afford to pay those guys 6-8 mil per year...the year their contracts are up they will be traded to a team that can afford to sign them or one that thinks the player will make an impact in the playoffs....small market teams become the source for renta-player for the big market teams....sad but true. Rip on New Jersey, Detroit, Colorado, and Dallas all you want...in a couple of years your players will be on those teams.

We don't have many squid/octopus...

But, we could provide adequate supply of Copperheads or Cottonmouths for the Wing dressing room. Or, barbecue...
