Of course it can be improved. I dont know that there aren't diminishing results, and you'd have to look at how much is bad technique and how coachable a player is. Specifically, Newton has enough to work on, that you can't focus on diving one thing quickly.

    Purr is funny.

How do you measure it? Is Tom Brady more accurate than Terry Bradshaw? You'll never really know because Brady only throw most of his balls inside 10 yards, where as Bradshaw was often throwing deep.

Most QBs are going to be much more accurate if they only have to throw the ball 9 yards instead of 40.

And accuracy has much to do with the timing developed between QB and receiver(s).

That and no fear and a lack of a short term memory.

all this is fine, the relationship between the receiver and QB and all that, but as rookies this is the one situation where you're actively measuring whether a QB can hit a specific target.
Accuracy isn't a bunch of statistics on whether a ball was completed in this case.

Well, I would actually differentiate that from "accuracy," which I define as the ability to throw the ball precisely where intended. The track record of that being improved at the NFL level is very, very discouraging.
