I rolled outta bed at 7:30 ( a 1 in 100 morning ) and decided to drive real fast.

    Quickies:

    Foster not in pads.
Walter Young WAS a steal, easily our best looking rookie.
    Moorehead looks good.
Fasani has the worst arm / accuracy by far.
Weinke IS the best looking QB right now.
Gross was knocked on his ass - reverse pancked - by Peppers (using one arm) on the first 11 on 11 pass play.

    Pics to come.

Dammit. I reduced them by 1/2, and they're all still too big by double - this on the kilobyte limit, not the pixel limit.

    shitfucker.

I got about 40 of them.

Do the QBs get to throw to the same receivers on a day like today or do each of them have a different guy or two? Are they throwing the same routes?

They mix it up pretty good. Seemed like they all had opportunitys to throw to different guys. My comments on Fasani were based more on the throwing drills. It was bad - and recognizable. You could not know who threw it, see how bad it was, think 'fasani', and look and see it was Randy.

By far the best play of the day - by far - was a Weinke high velocity ball - ACROSS his shoulder - deep to Smith. Slightly low - not underthrown, Smith's athleticism beat out 2 defenders and turned it into what would have been a 50 yard plus td.

I'd say the play of the QB's was Weinke, Peete, Delhomme, Fasani. Poor Randy was a distant fourth. He doesn't seem to have the arm to get it done. Hopefully, he'll pick it up. He was only a fifth rounder, but I hate to cut a qb after only a year.

Also - McDaniel got regularly - as in every play they lined up, humiliated by Walter Young. Not just played - humiliated. To the point where the guys in the secondary (coops) were ganging up on Young and talking smack. Young towers over them. One time Young would've have gotten hurt - bad - by Grant. Grant hit him about 50% and still clocked him real good. He stayed down a few seconds, and Coops ran up in his face and yelled 'you're lucky he didn't hit you!' and it didn't seem friendly.

    They were hitting hard.

Rickie Manning got toasted a whole bunch, too.

I think Young is the deal.

Thanks for the recap... I like to read this kind of "live stuff"...

I still think no way Delhomie gets beat out by Winky or even Peete by the 1st or 2nd game... unless of course as previously mentioned, JD has a Jeff Lewis type pre season game.
