    And because he's very talented, I've heard people claim he doesn't have the work ethic, that he's Jamarcus 2.0. No. All I've heard out of Auburn was that he did prepare like a Pro (and maybe was paid like one :) )

    Jamarcus was a fat lazy fuck at LSU too. His numbes were mediocre then. He just won a BSC title on a two loss team with a lot of talent. Cam took an 8 win program to an undefeated season. Apples and Oranges.

    we can talk it up, but we can't pretend that Newton isn't a charismatic asshole who likes to cut corners and get away with whatever he can.

    I think it almost benefits him to have all the dialogue being about his character, when he's certainly not a flawless player. It's almost like people have forgotten how much of a project he is.

    but we're not talking a year. I don't know if anything less than what Rodgers got would really work, which is another reason I hate running QBs. The instinct from the average yokel is that since he can make things happen with his feet he should play sooner, when that's the last thing you really need deveopmentally.
