At this point, and with us being hindered for player trades for draft picks because of no CBA, is there anyone that looks like we'll be kicking ourselves for not picking this year? Not really. And i'm not a newton fan, but if he really does have the upside potential why not pick him when there's no clear number one. I just don't see it being fairley. We really have the worst first pick ever.

I think there's a better chance that we see clausen on people magazine holding a newborn baby cuddled up with clay aiken than seeing him be a good qb.

I have equal character and performance concerns about Fairley, while many in the media don't seem to. One great year, and a track record of being an absolute piece of shit on the field wreaks of Haynesworth. Short term gains.

I know Newton does not fit our system, or really any. But Atlanta, back in 2004, installed some new concepts to benefit a QB with an amazing gift: speed.

Like I've said: Big Ben (allegedly) assaulted a chick, or several, and he's a media darling. Cam stole a laptop, has a shitty dad, said he wanted to be an entertainer, and won a national title. There's more, I know.

Occasionally, a player with exceptional talent that might not fit a system is made to adjust to fit it, with results, or the team adjusts their system to fit the talent. And we're not talking about Charlie Ward, or Tommie Frazier here. Again, he's 6-6, 250, has the strongest arm of any QB coming out, can make all the throws and can.....wait for it........extend the play.

this offense has no use for running around recklessly. You can do it, I guess, but you won't develop a quarterback doing it.

Agree on Fairley. He's a very tough one to ignore because of physical talent, but I really don't know if it's worth enough for him to be above Dareus. If Gabbert

I'm in agreement on both concerns, I just care about them enough to not curse my team with it.

As much as you post you can really talk yourself into thinking anything.
With your logic then cancer really aint that bad and normally strokes only paralyze you on one side when they don`t kill you initially.

I don`t see Ben as a media darling, he`s a clusterfuck and how long did Atlanta keep their qb before he went to prison?
At least we already know Fairley will have more fines than probowls. Its a shitty draft for a franchise that normally can`t draft its way out of a wet paper bag.

FWIW I'd have less problem taking Newton this year if the new Rookie wage scale is similar to the NBA's and goes in place this year. It keeps you from being tied to a guy as long which take some of the sting outta the risk and it rewards better play.

Maybe I'm not paying enough attention, but I've not heard any allegations that Cam has killed any dogs or raped any women. He stole a laptop. His Dad may have taken some money at one point during recruitment. So did Eric Dickerson. He wants to be an icon. So did Joe Namath.

And on the football field, running around aimlessly isn't what Ben does, or even Vick anymore. Mobility isn't a negative in those systems, or any system. They still complete passes downfield.
