well, if Gil Brandt is all about it in two different articles, then I'm all about a guy who doesn't fit our system, our personality, and has no experience or history of stability. Let's take the next two months off.

 

I hate Andrew Luck.

 

2 years is a good start at stability, not to mention a couple of national championships. hopefully our coaches are able to tweak their offense to fit the players. if not, then yep we need to ditch any thought of ever getting a QB that isn't a statue.

personality? interesting thought. by that you mean that our players should emulate the owner? the GM? the head coach? in other words, they shouldn't have one? maybe if we dunk him in a vat of bleach and have him wear white gloves that would help appease the nervous. oh wait, we did go out and get MeShawn at one time and we have hung on to Smitty, so perhaps a little blackness and personality are not totally outa the question. by personality, you mean he smiles a lot and has an ego? if we could dour him down a bit and have him wear khakis and a polo, and hang out with DG on the weekends he would be more acceptable?

if you have a solution other than the annoited icon, i'd love to hear it. not fair than you sit there and poo-poo our entertainment and don't give us a chance to do the same at yours.

can't just take off, we still have other picks to figure out, like the second we are going to get for smitty. and the other second we going to trade next year's first for. plus we got a couple of 3's and we have to find a guard and a TE at the bottom of the draft (oh wait, was that Fox or Hurney philosophy?)

well, sure, I've heard a lot of shitting on JR and such for him having standards as if he shouldn't have any. If I'm the boss I have my ideas, I don't begrudge that.

I mean, I know you're joking on most of this but guy has the ability to dictate what he wants.

 

agreed, to a point, but a franchise player isn't worth a shit if he doesn't have the sense to not be suspended.

I'd rather have Fairley of the two, I think he's far more talented. They both have the same overall problems - attitude, work ethic, almost no appreciable tape or experience, huge personalities people fall in love with while pretending that teammates or owners give a good Goddamn about someone that wants to sacrifice anything for a little more spotlight.

that's why I don't think we'll draft either, but have no idea who we do. If we do draft either, either can be successful. But that doesn't mean I'm not going to fucking argue over whether they're the right guy. This is my everest.
