Bure traded to Rangers for 2 players, draft picks

The New York Rangers acquired forward Pavel Bure in a trade with the Florida Panthers on Monday night.

New York, which also acquired a second-round pick, sends disappointing defenseman Igor Ulanov and young defenseman Filip Novak to Florida along with the Rangers' first and second-round picks in this June's draft, and a fourth-round pick next year.

Seems like NY has something going there. But will it be worth it? They're just out of the playoffs, by a hair. It could be a real boost, or it could be bad for chemistry. Bure's getting paid enough, and if the Rangers want to pay it more power to them. And with his age, he's probably not going to be worth bringing back in three years.

This shows how much of an idiot Mike Keenan is.... Bure didn't fit in with the way Hitler...oh I mean Keenan coaches and the style of play he likes so he traded him. I was wondering how long it would take him to pull the trigger on Bure.

If Bure fits in well NY could be very dangerous in the stretch and next year... very dangerous.

I HATE BURE!!!!! I hate him even MORE now that he took ADAM GRAVES number!!!!! I hope the Rangers (who I hate now cause they traded york)don't make the playoffs and I hope Bure breaks his freakin LEG!

Bure shmuree...they weren't exactly contenders anyways and Bure isn't that good that they now are contenders.

The Stars and Devils made the big trade....although no one can touch my red wings even after the trades....hasek in goal, chelios and lidstron playing defense....robitaille, hull, yzerman, shannahan, etc...no team will be able to roll lines with them come playoff time. what used to kill the wings in the playoffs were scoring droughts and osgood...shouldn't happen this year.
