    I found it on mine....

This "Bugbear" virus was reported to me by a friend and I did find the file on my hard drive.
Since my address book has apparently been infected, yours may be also, since your address is in my address book. The virus file is jdbgmgr.exe. I was told that it cannot be identified by Norton or McAffee Anti-virus programs. It is said to sit quietly in your hard drive for 14 days before damaging the sytem. It is sent automatically from your address book , whether or not you send email messages. I urge you to check your hard drive to see if the file is there and to delete it if you find it.

    To get rid of it:

    1. Click Start, then Find or Search
    2. In Files or Folders, write jdbgmgr.exe
    3. Be sure to search in your C and D hard drives
    4. Click Find or Search
    5. If the file is found, it will show a teddy bear logo with the name jdbgmgr.exe
    6. DO NOT OPEN THE FILE!
    7. Highlight the file (move cursor to file, but DO NOT CLICK!)
The location of the file will show. I found it in the windows\system folder
    8. Go to the folder identified in 7. In my case, windows\system.
    9. Find the jdbgmgr.exe file in the windows\system folder.
    10. Highlight, but DO NOT CLICK ON the file.
    11. Using the File dropdown menu, click on "Delete" to delete the file.
    12. Go to the Recycle Bin and click on "Empty Bin" to delete the file there also.

IF YOU FIND THE VIRUS, YOU MUST CONTACT EVERYONE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK AND TELL THEM HOW TO DELETE IT.

usually those are bogus. Sometimes you end up deleting something you might need. Anybody else heard of that?

You didn't know. Better safe than sorry - most of the time. I just knew where to look it up.
