Probably not. He did choose to go there, though. I still think he's a solid coach, but whether he deserved an out or not it could boot him to position coach (I'd take him certainly).

Then again, better coaches (ex- Sean Payton) have been through this and made it to the other side.

Now it's not fireable (midseason...he'd definitely go with the others), anything he did. They're not good, but they haven't done anything to rebuild or fit the new scheme.

Somewhat related update: The bucs OC has just gotten an extension.

 

the odd thing about that, beyond their offense being equivalently craptastic as their defense, is that olsen made it known he was going back to much of the gruden playbook, rather than keep what was installed over preseason. i swear they want this to be a dream sequence, and they wake up one morning and gruden is in the shower and the past season was all make-believe.

maybe it's for the sake of consistency for freeman. consistently bad, but consistent none the less.

 

To be fair to Olson he is kind of working without the benefit of an offseason to install his stuff.

 

i suppose. slight irony that their 1 win came in the creamsicles. this rebuilding season has been great entertainment. i honestly hope they renew it for next fall too.

 

it would be interesting to see what additional role Logan has taken on in all this as well.
