From 2 different articles, Todd apparently AGREED to his weight limit over the off season:

However, it was Sauerbrun who agreed to the 217-pound weight limit in the off-season.

“I did agree on it, so it’s completely my fault,” he said. “That’s why I’m not complaining about it because it is my fault and I agreed on it.”

Not complaining Todd? Hate to hear it if you WERE complaining. Guess he wants his cake and eat it too - literally.

Todd doesn't have a lot of flexibility - watch his extra points & field goal in that game - because of his structure, his foot barely is at waist level - if it even gets there on his follow through - Kasay's winds up over his head most of the time. Todd's great at what he does, but I'd hate to see him lined up to kick a game winner from much beyond where he kicked in SF.

    Sauerbrun update

A day after venting about his displeasure with being fined for being overweight, punter Todd Sauerbrun laughed when two reporters approached him."You guys got me in trouble," Sauerbrun said with a smile and started to walk away from his locker. "I'm probably going to get fined for talking to the media. I didn't make weight either."

On Wednesday, Sauerbrun said he's been fined about $40,000 this season for consistently being a pound or two over the stipulated 217. Sauerbrun said he narrowly missed his limit again Thursday.

Sauerbrun also said Wednesday that he told the team he'd add kicking duties if some of his fine money was refunded.

"Well, I hate to disappoint him, but he ain't kicking and he ain't getting his money back," Fox said.
