I think he meant 8-8, and then win all four playoff games. That actually could have been possible two years ago, but this is a much stronger NFC.

We look great on paper. We improved a team that went to the NFCG in several key areas most notably running back and wide out. If this were college football we would start off ranked number one. All that gets us is more ridicule if we fail. It shoudl be an interesting year. We have never started out as a superbowl favorite before. Here is my top ten

    1. Carolina
    2. Indy
    3. Pats
    4. Seahawks
    5. Steelers
    6. Redskins
    7. Broncos
    8. Bucs
    9. Ravens
    10. Bears

IMO we could easily be doomed with all of this premature Panther hype. If either Smitty or Jake goes down with a significant and/or poorly timed injury we won’t belong in the upper 16. If both stay healthy and effective we should win it all . .. I know it’s not but it seems that simple to me

I think we have a shot even if Smitty goes down. We would have to run the ball more and hope for something from Colbert and Carter but it is possible. It certainly would put a big dent in us but not out of the top 16. Losing Jake would hurt. Weinkie is not bad but it is a stretch to think he could be a championship QB based on what he has done so far.

that is the case with a lot of teams though. mostly around the quarterback postion, but we saw how bad the steelers were without rothlisberger last year. you think the patriots have a chance without brady, or the colts without peyton? the bucs are crap on offense without cadilac williams. i could go on and on.

the bottom line is that you gotta stay healthy in key positions to win it all.

No, Ricky Manning Jr is out on parole for the Super Bowl and one of the Miami guys has a laptop in their suite so our guys don't have to lift a finger! :satana: :ylsuper: :imagestor
