McNabb said NFL games don't go to double OT...don't you pay attention?

I'd be a lot happier to not see Boldin out there. I think the Panthers win anyway but it makes things easier.

huh? they flew to charlotte yesterday. they were having a 'send off celebration' at the PHX airport yesterday morning.

edit: i thought i saw that they were leaving yesterday. no way they fly on the day of a game. i dont think the NFL would allow it considering the possible travel delays that could occur throught the country.

Also, he practiced on a limited basis today but as was said earlier, he will trest the hamstring tomorrow before the game to determine if he can go.

Okay, guys; this is where I found it (Charlotte.com, Ron Green's column down near the bottom where I've highlighted it):

Trips to East a beast when Cards hit road
Panthers opponent, 0-5 in the region this season, hopes to end that trend Saturday.

TEMPE, Ariz Beyond the numbers, the schemes and the players that factor into the Carolina-Arizona playoff game Saturday night, there is the map.

Just a simple map of the United States.

It's where you'll find North Carolina – Charlotte specifically – located where it's always been. Almost exactly 2,100 miles to the east of Phoenix.

If you believe in statistics and trends, that could be the most telling of all.

The Cardinals, in case you hadn't heard, went 0-5 coming to the East Coast this season.

In those five losses, Arizona allowed its opponents to score an average of 40 points per game.

And it's not like it's anything new for the Cardinals.

Since 2003, they're 2-19 when they've come East, a little worse if you count trips to St. Louis and Dallas, but there's no reason to pile on.

“I don't really put much stock in that other than to say if we're 0-5, then maybe we're due,” Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said.

“Maybe it's time we win one. We're going to win one at some point. Hopefully, it'll be this weekend.”

If the betting line – the Panthers are 10-point favorites – is a fair indicator, there's not much faith in the Cardinals when they trade the land of cactus and Camelback Mountain for anything east of the Mississippi.

To be fair, five cross-country trips in one NFL regular season is atypical. Throw in the fact that none of the Cardinals' Eastern opponents – Washington, the New York Jets, Philadelphia, New England and Carolina – finished with a record below .500 and the challenge comes more into perspective.

“We played some pretty darn good teams on the East Coast,” Whisenhunt said.

Still, the Cardinals gave up 56 points to the Jets, 48 to the Eagles and lost 47-7 to the Patriots in a December snowstorm. They played the Redskins close (24-17 in September) and led the Panthers by 14 before losing 27-23 in October.

The players and coaches have been reminded of it again this week, long before they began packing their travel bags.

“With us it hasn't been anything with weather; it's just finding a way to win a game on the road, which we've done more in the last two years than has been done around here in a long time,” offensive coordinator Jeff Haley said. “But we're still coming from the depths trying to accomplish something that hasn't been done in a long time.”

The Cardinals will vary their travel itinerary this week, not because they feel the need but because of the game time. Typically, they fly East on Friday when they have a 1p.m. East Coast Sunday game.

The only time they didn't do it this season was when they had back-to-back games at Washington and New York in September and opted to stay on the East Coast in between.

Because kickoff with the Panthers isn't until 8:15 Saturday night, the Cardinals will fly to Charlotte on Saturday morning rather than on Friday.

“We're going to get on a plane and go East and try to exorcise a demon,” defensive end Bertrand Berry said.

At least the timing is different. It can't hurt.

“For us, it's just about breaking the ice,” Haley said.

“These stats that start gathering steam, they grow and become a monster in their own right. For us, it's realizing it's a football field wherever it's at and we have to break through.”

Receiver Larry Fitzgerald, likely to be a central character in what happens Saturday night, knows all about the East Coast monster that eats Arizona.

    It doesn't scare him.

“That's regular season stuff,” Fitzgerald said. “We're undefeated in the postseason.”

Having never flown cross country I wouldn't have any real-life experience with this but don't you have a bad case of jet lag flying across 3 time zones? And all in the day you're playing the game?

John Clayton said last night that Boldin will most likely not play and even if he did it would be limited. I liken it to LT's play last week versus the Colts...sparatic and mostly ineffective if Anquan does decide to suit up.
