I agree. Especially tonight. Couple of things scared me off the Chiefs.

Before the lines came out I had this one rated closer to a touchdown. When it came out at 3.5 I was puzzled, but still planned on taking the Chiefs.

Then I waited for the line to move.... and waited.... and waited. It didn't until today. Late.

Anyway, the final straw was losing my ass with the Bucs yesterday. I also had that game rated around a TD as well and thought I was getting a steal there too.

Raiders get Porter back - which should help - and if they don't win their season is toast. I know that "needing a win" does not necessarily mean "will win", but I am spooked by this game. No way in hell I'd bet on the Raiders though. So that means "pass" to me.

I have no problem rooting for the Chiefs for y'all though. All of my degenerate friends think I am nuts for passing and took the Chiefs too. :) If I wake up tomorrow to see 31-10 Chiefs I will kick myself.

I know what you mean. Actually one of my methods of betting is to bet aganst the trend for a team to establish a long streak with the line. I lost last week on the raiders so I double my bet this week on the same team. I'll do this for 3 times by then the return doesn't justify the bet for further action. It takes a lot of nerve to bet a dog like the Raiders but I usually make money year in abd year out.

I'm also on the Vikes to lose aganst the line. They too are perfect.

Riding that streak through 3 weeks takes some balls though. You have to stick with it and that can get hard as the $$$ adds up. I'm not sure I have the stones for that, but you are right in that a team rarely goes more than 3 or 4 in a row without covering unless they REALLY blow. SMU comes to mind this year as an exception - but that's college.

Agree with you on the Vikes. I feel fortunate to have won with them yesterday. 6 is a bit of a big number to give to the Giants too - if NY can hang onto the damn ball for an entire game. Had them at New England 2 weeks ago and they killed themselves (and me) with turnovers.

I usually won't jump on until a team has established a 5 or 6 game steak.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger on that TB game.

I will say this about tonight's game. If the Chiefs win the bookies are going to take a bath. That's not a bad thing. I know of no one who is on the Raiders.

    except me. Oh Lord.

With tuiososopo in there I don't think this bet is in jeopardy.
