That can't mean what we think it means. Steve Smith was drafted with 4.2 speed. No way Smart is faster than that, or even as fast.

yeah, I somewhat doubt that too. If he were that fast, he'd be at receiver, because he's not that great a runner.
The team seems to have thought in the past that Howard and Cooper were fastest on D, along with Smith on O.

That's world class. I don't remember seeing that, and I doubt it. Anyone who runs that fast gets LOTS of predraft pub, no matter where they played, and Smith didn't. 4.4 seems more like it, and I bet Smart is as fast.

    My simple keys to win.

1.) Force them into punting 7+ times.

Smith does legitimately have sub-4.4 speed, which isn't outrageous anymore. I don't think Howard ever tested that high, and neither did Cooper. Certainly, there was no pub about Smart coming out of school and everyone who's under 4.4 gets some pub. I don't buy Smith being that fast, especially because his acceleration with the ball in his hands just isn't what you see of most guys we have that fast.

I can't remember the last "burner" we had but it has been my impression that none of our guys are all that fast. We need to draft one of those 4.3 guys next year.
