The problem with spreading them out using Foster in split out is we may need help blocking there front four. We shouldnt need help with our improved ? line, but there front four is darn good. Having Davis back to block may not be enough we may need Hoov and Davis to block then Davis release keeping mangum or Sideman in to block and let Davis or Foster flair out in a flat pattern. Just a thought of what they may do. I'd love to see Foster split our one on one with a slower DB, I hope that works, but it wont work if we can't block and Phili sure wasnt able to.

We can't have their DT's pushing the "pocket" back into Jake - that would play into Rice and Spires just speed rushing around the end.

Todd could be our big weapon in this game. Our ability to stop Pittman will be key - wish Morgan was healthy.

We need to be more physical than they are. Shut down their run, hit their QB. Hard & often.

On offense, we can't afford mistakes. Jake needs to make the right decision as quickly as possible, stay accurate. Mangum needs to have a BIG game. Saw Kris at Wolfgang Puck's earlier this week, with his wife & daughters.

FWIW, I did this in Madden 2K4, and it worked beautifully. ;)

Certainly, I won't say that their pass rush isn't worthy of needing blockers. But if you're saying, in that case, choosing between Davis or Mangum isn't enough to block four guys, that's a big suggestion.

Of course, most of their really good blitz packages are tended to run in base, I believe. So that somewhat lessens the chances of getting overloaded.

No I am not saying we wont be able to block when we have help IE mangum/Seidman and Hoover/Davis, just that Kiffen is no dummie and he knows how to rattle a young QB. If he is getting the push from his 4 then it will make it really tough for us to leave Jake with only one extra blocker and send 3 deep.

yeah - but three deep? I dunno that many that send three deep. At most, we send one, and I'd be surprised if we have many attempts deep. Probably see some 15 yard routes, a few, but not a lot. At best you'll see us testing the sideline against Lynch. IMO, at least.

And I don't see a lot of seven step drops with JD, either.

I thought of this because of the way Henning used Lamar Smith a couple of times last year, and how Fox mentioned in his interview that they have plays specifically for Foster.

    Can't wait for Sunday.

Brain's right bout Delhomme. Could win or lose it for you. He must take the easy, short stuff and be patient.

We must think first downs and not TDs. Control the ball and wear their asses down. Make their offense have too score quickly and we might just have them.

To be honest. We have to play a team exactly like ourselves, albeit maybe a bit faster but less physical. Shouldn't be a mystery to the coaches.

Turnovers are always big but turnovers are huge in this one. We turn it over, we lose.

Use our fastest guys to stretch it

I finally read that article on Smart at CNNSI – Below is a quote from Steve Smith:

    >>>"Rod is just Rod, you get what you see," receiver Steve Smith said. "He's rugged, he's honest and he brings us diversity and uniqueness. He's also the fastest Panther on the team."<<<

How 'bout using Smith Foster and Smart out in patterns at the same time. Apparently that would be our fastest most dangerous trio.
