There are plenty of good reasons but if the Lions fired people based on poor performance they may have never gone 0-16

Detroit HC just signed a long term extension last year I think. Long shot they eat that money.

Interested to see what Chicago does this weekend, going from 7-1 to missing playoffs might spur some movement there. Not that I'd ever want Lovie here, just something to watch.

Yeah, no chance that Schwartz goes. I think Whisenhunt gets one more year in Arizona as well, as does Rex Ryan in NY. So I guess my prediction is:

    Buffalo
    Cleveland
    Tennessee
    San Diego
    Kansas City
    Philadelphia

worse things than Lovie, but not my style.

some of these rumors are comical. I haven't heard any single Cleveland rumor that didn't sound like an immediate disaster. One had AZ firing Whisenhunt to hire Haley.

Tenn is the only one I see as remotely going out on a limb. Probably will happen.

Wonder if there will be any shocker firings. Jax wouldn't necessarily be a shock since they will be getting a new GM. I guess that puts them and us in the same category somewhat.

Jax will keep Mularkey out of simply not wanting to pay more on that contract. They could try to push some assistant change to force him out, make him quit but I don't know.

There's a higher chance NY does that to Rex, though.

I think Jacksonville knew this was a rebuilding project and won't hold 2012 against Mularkey. Plus, they presumably realize that they handicapped him with Gabbert.

Cleveland to clean house after game with gm and coach after game. Like seeing go as well in cases like this. Reminds me of AJ smith in San Diego when he fired schotty. Smith was the problem

Heckert probably re-lands with Reid. That's not that big a surprise, really. A minor concern that he's also one of Accorsi's guys. If he were assistant GM, great.
