you people can call me dumb or whatever you want, but the fact remains that only 2 people have been rational enough to dispute the stats. There's obviously more to it than stats, and the original post was more or less tongue-in-cheek, but once I got a reaction, I ran with it.

Nobody has said Ben had good stats. If Rodney Peete was a rookie and won 14 games in a row he would get just as much attention as Ben has.

Remember Roth would have only been a Senior in college this year.

He's got fight in him. He's got something special. Now will he ever be a superstar? Probably not. He might've been more ready, more finished, and less talented than Manning.

He's got good stats for the year, rating-wise. 11 picks is phenomenal for a rook, and 66% is pretty damn good as well. However, a lot of these are based on attempts, which he didn't have. Which means he always got the safe throws, and which is why he finished outside the top 20 in yards. He finished just ahead of another guy who got his hand held all season, Boller.

So it's hard to say. I liked him coming out, I'm happy that he's winning, and at some point the kid gloves come off. It's obvious in the replays that he's looking down receivers, and that's costing him. He's gonna have to grow out of that or his team won't go any further.

One of the picks was also an overthrow. The other he stared down and the receiver ran a go and he must have thought it was a curl or in.

But he's heady, and has some athletic ability to get him out of trouble.

yeah, I'm not a big proponent of QBs wearing a glove on their throwing hand.

What the deal with the glove? It seems like to would be harder to throw the ball.
