I was more or less comparing the teams they were on. If Rodney had had Pitt's D and running game, Ben's 15 year younger legs and arm, you really think he couldn't have taken Pitt to the very same place?

Talk all you want, you still haven't refuted the obviously Peete-ish numbers. I'm not saying Ben's not a good QB, but the "Big Ben hype" is WAY over-blown.

Cowher, Bettis, the O-line and the D deserve about 9/10ths of the credit.

    I'll just add 2 words...Trent Dilfer.

he wasn't very impressive today, but the qb gets the credit or blame depending on the team's record.

I guess we'll never know the answer to that (unless there's a trade in the offseason  ) .

But Ben did have 5th highest passer rating in the NFL, something that you left off your stat line. I wouldn't consider a 98 qb rating "peete-ish". He did have to take less chances while playing ahead, but someone had to get them ahead by throwing an occasional pass. He did, BTW, lead 5 game winning drives this year (not including the one today in OT) so he wasen't always working with a 20 point lead.

I don't even notice much "Big Ben Hype". Maybe I just don't watch the same pregame shows that you do.

:laugh1: The big difference in those stats: Ben's a rookie.
If he plays now like Trent did for Baltimore I won't complain, the running and the defense make the difference for Pitt this year.
