Assuming CuJo doesn't resign which it looks like he won't...he's the best, in my opinion....but he has had injury troubles in the past.

Belfour, Dafoe, and Richter are also available. Some say Belfour has lost his quickness, I didn't see enough Stars games to have my own opinion with him. Dafoe is good but is he good enough to win a series on his own? He did a pretty good choke job in the playoffs. Richter had no defense in front of him in NY which is why his numbers are that of a mediocre goalie. He did good in the olympics when he had a d in front of him. All these guys will be in the 7-8 million per year range.

who would you want?

I think Cujo is better than Mike .

Alltough he is is the best american goalie in the league. Cujo is still better.

it looks like belfour is the leading candidate to replace hasek. cujo has already turned down 9 mil per season which is more than hasek made. Philly and St.Louis are ready to pay him that much, so he'll be going to one of those teams.

Richter has two bad knees and the wings don't think he can stay healthy....plus Hull is leading the charge to sign his ex-teammate.

belfour was absolutely despized in detroit...but then again, the fans now love chelios and they even warmed up to Wendy Clarke for his breif stint as a wing. where's claude lemieux these days?

Little bit of a lose there hasek replaced by belfour...guess times are numb.

I'd look at CuJo first if his price comes down. What does he want more the money or a shot at the Cup? I'd have to look at a trade second, then Belfour. Richter has too many injury concerns for me.

CuJo already turned down a 9 mil per season for 4 years from the leafs......he ain't worth that much.

Belfour will be half that much...plus he should be motivated after being dumped by dallas.

What are some hot prospects coming up this year? I'd love to see a new young goalie come up and set the NHL on fire.

There just aren't enough "SUPER" goalies out there.
