Diet Football: Looks like real college football, but half the wins!

they aren't challenging for a championship

Last time they did was when Miami was in the Big East

Which is even more rediculous. Cincinnatti is an undefeated BCS team obviously from a BCS conference that has no shot at playing for the BCS Championship. Pretty much tells what the BCS is all about right there. Even in the BCS, there is a pecking order and only the biggest of the big boys have the right to play for the BCS Championship. All the others are merely spectators.

I said a threat to win a title. And Cincy most certainly was a threat, just like TCU. Just because it didn't shake out that way doesn't mean that they weren't a threat. If Auburn had beaten Bama or A&M had beaten Texas (both of which almost happened), you're telling me that Cincy wouldn't have moved into title contention?

VaTech was considered a title contender this year, and might have been had their running back not been injured, but the best team from the ACC this year wouldn't even get an invite to a BCS bowl if they didn't have an autobid. The MWC has been as good as or even better than the ACC over the last few years.

So either the MWC is BCS caliber or the ACC isn't.

You don't decide on a year to year basis which conferences should/shouldn't be BCS. if you want to say that the ACC shouldn't be in the BCS this season than there is no way you can argue the Big East should. They are both middle of the pack BCS conferences this year.

    Whining, riiiiight.

Obviously my stance isn't a this year only kind of thing.

The ACC isn't a middle of the pack BCS conference. They are a bottom of the pack BCS conference. I don't particularly think that the Big East is much better, but they are better than the ACC in so much as the BCS is concerned.

They are the butt of the BCS joke.

When did I ever say they weren't? I said they aren't a BCS caliber conference. They clearly ARE a BCS conference.

Or is that too complex thinking for you?

You are delusional to think their is any significant difference between the two. Your second best team lost to NC State
