Mine would have to be Queensryche on the Promised Land tour. It was incredible. More like a full stage production than a "regular concert."

After that was probably Iron Maiden's Somewhere In Time tour and Paul McCartney @ William Brice Stadium in Columbia...

Oh yeah, Phish in San Diego. Of course there were other things at work there besides music!;)

Chicago - 1981 (got to meet the band afterwards - Sorry LarryD)
Emerson, Lake, & Powell - 1982 (front row)
Eric Clapton - 1990 (front row)
Paul McCartney - 1994? (15th row center)

Hey Math! Where did you see Paul? I THINK I saw him in 1992. I was on the 10th row to the left of center. I remember this redneck and I kept pushing each other. He was wasted and kept falling into me.

It was whatever year he came to Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh. I never dreamed he do so much Beatles stuff. Fantastic.

No, there wasn't.

I enjoyed 91, 92, and 94 Lollapallozas, the org HORDE tour, Rogerless Pink FLoyd 94, Tori Amos, Metallica/Ozzy (my first concert I wanted to go see), Ozark Tentacles at Ziggy's, King Crimson, Rage Against the Machine, MMW, and Southern Culture on the Skids is always first rate.

But few of those shows can compare with even an average Phish show. Even sober.

Too Many Great to Pick Just One

Bar Shows :

P.B Scotts - Blowing Rock (RIP) the best damn rock and roll bar EVER!

Dixie Dregs
George Thorogood
BB King

Stevie Ray Vaughn - Jokers 3 Greensboro - Unfuckingbeleevable

Arena Shows -

Elton John 1974

ELO - Out of the Blue tour - late 70's. The best opening ever. Space ship rises up out of the smoke - top raises on the space ship - through the smoke are the dudes on the strings jamming like hell - helluva show.

The Who - Who Are You tour - 1980? No Keith Moon But watching Pete Townsend thrashing away and Roger Daltrey screaming away on "Won't Get Fooled Again" is one of my most vivid memories. One of the few drug free concerts I attended in college - Wow all the good music I missed :

ZZ Topp - too fucked up to remember
Rush - too fucked up to remember
Heart - too fucked up to remember
Queen - too fucked up to remember

ACDC - Back in Black - loudest show I ever saw. I got worn out watching Angus Young run around for two hours. Great show.

Huey Lewis & the News - just seeing if you were paying attention.
HAH! - actually my sister drug me along but I went only because Stevie Ray was the opening act - people were booing him off the stage. stupid pricks. I tolerated Huey just to watch SRV.

I went to many others but those are the most memorable.

Phish - been to 70+ shows

Grateful Dead - 94? RFK Stadium- Rained so hard I was looking for Noah and the Ark...Actually thought I saw him but I think I was being influenced

Funky Meter's- Halloween 93,94- Tipitina's in New Orleans

Been to a lot of shows but these stick out the most....
