True, but one other game I thought the first half we had all the momentum but came out the second half a totally different team - somewhat again today. Like did the real team stay in the lockerroom? I know a lot is being young. First half I thought we'd stay close and tough and momentum seemed to be our way, second half the feeling shifted to what will we screw up next?

But it's still good to see Smitty revitalized, very good to use tight ends for something other then blocking, VERY good to see DWill starting to fire on all cylinders, have a LB go out and then come back!!!

Yeah, I'm not ashamed to admit that I value this being fun to watch. If I was playing, I'd just be pissed about losing, but I'm a fan and a spectator who likes to be entertained.

As for takeaways, somebody has to make Cam step into his throws. You just have him do it 500 times each week until it becomes natural, because right now it's natural for him to throw off that back foot, which is a main cause of his inaccuracy. He also still has no ability to read defenses, but that's not really going to change anytime soon since being a first-year quarterback in the NFL will be overwhelming for pretty much anyone. Cam also has to practice throwing slants and crossing routes since he's pretty consistently behind them, which is why he's most effective on vertical throws.

The running game showed progress, though, and seeing DeAngelo be productive was a relief. The run defense is an issue, but that's not really a surprise given the injuries. I'd like to see the DEs & LBs more conscious about keeping containment, since those big outside runs kill you more than the 4-5 yard gains up the middle. Meanwhile I don't know what to say about the special teams problems.

But we've punted at times I think Kasay would have been out there kicking. Of course different coaching staff too, but we've punted at times it was a very makeable Kasay kick.

Thought we missed an opportunity to run more this game. Also, wouldn't you want to see more of DW and JStew instead of these QB draws?
