Baseball talking about striking again

I think it will....and should....ruin the game forever if they strike again. Players compensation is higher than ever. WTF do they want?

The stupidity and greed of most professional athletes and owners amazes me. Attendance is down big time this year and the two sides can't come to a labor agreement. I was just finally starting to keep up with baseball again after the last strike which was, what 10 years ago? I think you are dead on about another stike ruining the game, Sly. It will certainly finish any interest I have, which will kill any interest my son would have had, which will kill the next generation of sports fans.

Some people never learn. They talk about contracting a team that won a couple of World Series a decade ago, and has average attendance. Fans in general have barely gotten over the last strike. And now they start this shit.

Baseball players won’t take a salary cap, even though millionaires in other sports have gotten by on a salary cap. Only the top 10 or so teams in big markets make money, and only those teams can realistically win because of the salaries (though Twins are doing a good job).

the last stoppage did it for me. i used to rarely miss a braves game. now? i'll sorta kinda keep up until the postseason.

these days, it has to be the world series for me to watch a game from beginning to end.

I just hope both sides realize that they may not recover from another strike. I am a huge fan, but the last strike almost did it for me. If they have another, I will never go to another MLB game again. I will still watch the knights (until they move them out of Fort Mill, uptown is just to far to drive )

The last strike pretty much put me out of business. I had the concessions contract for Rockies games. A LOT of people lost their jobs, I'd say thousands at Mile High alone.

It pretty much sucked, but at least I had an excuse for not working.

I'm all for a baseball salary cap. It's why the NFL is better than MLB.
