On next week’s game at Atlanta: We are going to change things up as far as what we’re doing and who we’re doing it with. We need to find answers. I haven’t seen the tape yet. I thought there were guys out there working out. Overall we’re not playing very well. We need to find a way to get better.
On quarterback Chris Weinke’s performance: We put three points on the board, so offensively in general we didn’t play well enough.

Basanez was throwing against Pittsburgh's JV defense. Just keep that in mind.

And yeah, I want the team focus on winning this upcoming game. That's more important than anything else. I want us to finish strong and feel better about ourselves heading into the offseason.

Plus, I don't believe we've been "mathematically" eliminated from playoff contention.

I don't think Basanez gives us less of a chance than Weinke.

Matter of fact, I think we have no chance with Weinke.

We could actually have somewhat of a running game against Atlanta. If we don't throw the ball 50 times, I think we do have a chance with Weinke.

If we can't rush for more than 50 yards in a game, we don't have a chance to win no matter who the qb is.

Change would be good. I don't care if we win. I do care that we try to win. This game was just going through the motions.

Why are you guys beating the Panthers up? They lost to the World Champions, there is no shame in that.

I don't know if I'd go that far. But when we talk about base execution, Basanez was doing a lot Weinke wasn't - he was dropping fast, he was setting up, he was throwing. He wasn't standing around.

And he was throwing to the big money guys, not the 3rd stringers, which Weinke always had the tendency to do.

    Weinke hasn't been a winner since 9/9/2001.

And I'm not expecting that to change.
