Hakim went to the Lions to be starter and he couldn't get it done. I'd sign him as long as he understood his place in the pecking order and that he would be a slot and a return man.
That said, he'll still likely haggle for a sizable contract.

I said sign him weeks ago.

He isn't looking for much. He has never been more than a #3 WR in anyone's offense, why would he expect anything else now? He would be perfect at #3.

Well if he does want a lot of money I would not sign him. I am thinking something near the league minimum.

He was never slated to start last year. He was behind Charles Rogers and Roy Williams. He only started when Rogers went down. I do not see him having a problem being a slot receiver and return man.

I'm just wondering how the lions are going to make up for his 15 dropped passes and 6 games missed due to injuries.

He can not hold up as a starter but as a returner and slot guy he might do fine. I would rather have him fill in for an injured Smith or Colbert than anyone else we have on the roster.

    Shun the hit....

there is more than one receiver in the NFL who does not like contact, but Az Hakim will cough it up every time a guy with big shoulders is near. Also, his concentration on punt returns is atrocious.
