    I didnt buy it, but it is a legal copy that no one else is currently using. And it has updated many times now. I've bought an external DVD writer too for the laptop, and it does the same thing. Perhaps it's just 7.0 that is the problem.

    You can use Vsotodvd or Winavi...convert files in a hour or so
