The head honcho at Augusta National angrily denounced a women's groups atttempt to get the famed golf club to admit some female members. Should Augusta bow down to the pressure or not ? ? ?

I usually am a vocal supporter for women's rights, but in this instance I could really care less. I personally find golf boring, especially women's golf. Nevertheless, it would be nice if the club admitted women on its own instead of being forced. It's not like there will be truck loads of women golfers taking over; isn't golf predominantly a man's sport? I say, "just let'em in and get it over with." **yawn**

It's a private club, they have the right to deny anyone they want to.

it's a private club and they can admit whoever they want to. I'm sure in time a female will be admitted and when that happens, she will be accepted.

Why don't LarryD send a letter to 'Hootie' Johnson telling him the benefits of female membership in a private club . . Perhaps Augusta National will change its mind then !!!!!
