To me the argument is simply silly.

There is no way to make a snake draft fair.

If you have 10 players. Picks 1,20,21 will beat 10,11,30 every time. The difference between LT and LJ and the 9th and 10 picks is just too massive to overcome by just snaking picks.

I agree that the auction format is superior, but it's more complex to handle unless you can do it face to face. In terms of snake draft strategies, ideal picks depend on the sport. In baseball because of the talent distribution you're generally much better off picking near the end of round 1, whereas in football you have a massive advantage picking at the front. In our mag I made the brief comment that changes may be necessary to traditional FF leagues precisely because there is too much of an advantage from getting one of those few stud RBs.

Its like playing Fantasy golf with Tiger included. You don't even have to play the season, whoever gets the first pick wins.

Almost, but PP had the first pick in our league and he's still trailing. :mdrbig:

Heh, I didn't realize that my only two losses were to your team. Hopefully I won't lose the third.

Yeah the guy in my league who got LT is almost as stupid as PantherPaul. He took Neil Rackers in the 5th round and Vick in the 2nd.

But you give a guy who actually knows what he is doing LT and they can't be stopped.
