100% agree with this. They could easily be next year's version of the Bears, especially if they hire a good defensive coordinator. That side of the ball will go from bad to elite overnight. They are flush with talent on that side.

So Evero is getting a 2nd interview w the Raiders.

Not sure what they are thinking, but they are, the Raiders.

Anyway, if he leaves, we get some comp picks.

Lastly, as far as a DC, would Luke ever consider this or you think he would need to be LB coach for a couple seasons first?

His mind is incredible and I think with his preparation, would have the team ready and make some really good calls. But that is just me wishing.

I can see Luke getting easily frustrated with players that refuse to show the same commitment that he did. It's like idealistic politicians going to DC and getting frustrated with the swamp mentality.

I sorta became an Evero defender down the stretch this season, as the defense was keeping this team in most of its games, but I still wouldn't be too sad to see him hired away.

And no, I don't think Luke would be a good DC just because he nails calls on TV. Being an NFL defensive coordinator is a completely different domain, and his quick flame out from the entry level front office job would make me reluctant to offer him any entry level coaching job.

    Yes.

And since most coaches sucked ass as players, most of them are just happy to be in the NFL. The great ex-player is almost certain to have a much worse NFL experience as a coach, while also dealing with a bunch of bullshit that has nothing to do with football.

Rodgers isn’t running it back in Pittsburgh. They need a coach and a quarterback. For a team that hasn’t had a losing season since 2003, they’re about to remember how it feels.

Calling plays and studying film are two very different skill sets. Luke belongs in scouting.
