    I’d say they’re more like the 2011 Lions, but instead of Matt Stafford, you have a career backup trying to hold off a rapist from winning his job back.

    For all intents and purposes, this rule is Don't Hit The Quarterback In The Pocket. The league has dressed it up in technical language that makes it sound like a legitimate violation, but it's simply a penalty for hitting a quarterback while he's a passer. I wish they would just be honest and say it.
