The panthers should handle them easily.

But they will get wins that they 'shouldn't' because they play their game well. Think of them kind of like the '02 panthers with a worse defense but a better QB- Not a good team but if you have a bad day they'll bully your ass

Short weeks don't favor road teams, and the Panthers recently struggled to beat a Jets team which is clearly inferior to Houston. I think the Texans do a lot of good things. Thier OC, Tim Kelly, is probably a head coach within the next two years. The offensive line looks solid, they have a RB rotation which plays to the strength of each back, and Brandin Cooks is a big time playmaker. The defensive roster is questionable, but Lovie Smith is implementing his "bend don't break" principals that tend to frustrate modern offenses. They'll make you throw short more than you'd like, and that concerns me if my QB has an aggressive streak.

All that being said, Taylor being out changes the math. Mills, who is essentially the poor man's Mac Jones, doesn't have the deep ball or mobility threat of Hot Rod. So I think it would take a big Sam Darnold/Panthers O Line implosion for Houston to win.

If you're looking for pessimism once erving went out there were some bad pressures given up.

Win games you should win and steal a couple. That said the Panthers should beat them.

Also could be the lowest TV numbers ever

Come on now Paul, you know the nation is riveted to anything the Carolina Panthers do.
Even the pundits are into them. That's why the tv media show talking heads had a 26-2 vote that the Saints were going to win.
    Those schmucks...

    Fun Stat from PFF:

If a QB spikes the ball every play, he gets a passer rating of 39.6. Zach Wilson's passer rating yesterday was 37.0.
